Living in Light of Eternity Series
10:00 am
This new series, “Living in Light of Eternity,” first installment by Pastor Colby, was a powerful reminder to lift our eyes beyond the temporary and fix them on what truly lasts. We were encouraged to see life from heaven’s perspective — to realize that our time here is just a moment compared to eternity. When we live with that mindset, it changes how we love, how we serve, and even how we face challenges. God calls us to live wisely and intentionally, knowing that our choices today echo into forever. Pastor Colby shared his own life mission: “to know Jesus and to make Him known.” That’s really the heart of it, isn’t it? When we truly know who God is — the eternal, loving Creator who desires a relationship with us — everything else starts to fall into place. He shared personal stories that reminded us how powerful it is when we step out in faith, follow the Holy Spirit’s promptings, and let God use us to reach others. It’s not about perfection; it’s about staying close to Jesus and letting His love flow through us. The first message closed with a simple but sobering truth: eternity is real, and it’s closer than we think. There are two kingdoms — God’s and the world’s — and we have the privilege of choosing who we’ll live for. When we live in light of eternity, we see beyond the struggles of today and anchor our hope in what’s to come. Psalm 139 reminded us that God knows us, loves us, and designed each of us for a purpose that stretches far beyond this life. So the question we were left with is this: are we living for what will last forever? The 2nd message by Pastor Colby, walked through biblical throne room visions (Exodus, Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Revelation) revealing God’s majesty—His throne surrounded by fire, angels, lightning, and worship declaring “Holy, holy, holy.” Jesus, the Lamb of God, is shown seated at the right hand of the Father, reigning with all authority, worthy of all honor, power, and glory. Yes, we believe and proclaim this - to God be the Glory! Heaven is filled with unceasing worship and prayer, and believers are called to make worship central in their lives as “a kingdom of priests.” (Remember our last series with Pastor Chad?) The return of Jesus will fulfill every promise — He will descend on the Mount of Olives, rule as King over all the earth, and unite heaven and earth under His lordship. Are we living with this in mind? The takeaway: live each day with eternal perspective, holiness, joy, and readiness, allowing worship and intimacy with Jesus to transform how we love, endure, and hope. Join us November 9th and November 16th as we continue to hear from the Lord and apply these teachings to our everyday life.
